Whiskey with Biscuits, the book.
I wrote a book in 2012, but nobody knows it’s me. That’s because the official writer is the character: Juvenal Juvêncio Fake. My name neither appears on the cover nor in the pages
I’ll explain further.
In 2011, I created this character on Facebook and Twitter. Juvenal Juvêncio is an old, drunk guy who pretends to be a manager at São Paulo Futebol Clube, one of the biggest soccer clubs in Brazil. Always having his whiskey, he makes fun of his rivals, and sometimes, even his team.
For some reason, people liked my posts (I mean, Juvenal Juvêncio’s posts) and it went viral, reaching thousands of followers. So, I decided to write a book.
After the launch, the character was invited to talk on several Brazilian TV Channels, and in national newspapers and magazines. Because I didn’t want anybody to know who was behind the character, I went to these interviews wearing a mask. (This is kind of ridiculous, I know).
Look at the gif, that’s me on ESPN.
I also became an official sports commentator for Estadão Radio 92,9FM. On your left, you can see me hugging Careca and Willian, Brazilian former soccer players. If you like soccer, you probably know Careca; he played with Maradona for Napoli and the National Brazilian Team in the 80’s.
Anyway, the book was a huge success. All the copies have been sold. It was exciting to bring a virtual character to real life.
About the profiles, they are still active on Facebook and Twitter. Although, I don’t write so often anymore, I can guarantee he is still able to make people laugh.

Fun fact: I launched the book in a bar, after all, the character is a totally drunk guy. Many of the followers showed up to buy an edition, take pictures, and meet the real author. Along with them, there was a beautiful girl. She bought a copy, asked for the mask I was wearing, and we started a really nice conversation. Now, she is my wife. Yeah, that’s right, this book gave me a wife. And I'm super proud of our story.
